Sara joined the staff at Good Shepherd in July of 2010. She was ordained in 1981 and brings many and varied experiences to her position as Pastor of Caring Ministries and Adult Education. She was raised in Washington and is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Communications. Prior to attending Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, Sara worked as a newspaper reporter. She has served parishes in North Dakota, Minnesota, Washington, Iowa and Montana.
Sara’s primary focus at Good Shepherd will be to provide vision and leadership for adult education and small groups, provide coaching and encouragement to Caring Ministry staff and volunteers, be a caring and supportive member of Good Shepherd’s Administrative Team and to preach and teach about God’s love for all through Jesus Christ.
Sara enjoys walking, reading, cooking, writing and knitting. She has three wonderful grown children, Garrett, Zachary and Jessamyn.
