Jeff has been a pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1997, and the Senior Pastor since 2000. Prior to this ministry, he served as pastor of a four-point parish around rural Fortuna, North Dakota. Born in Williston, North Dakota, but raised in Seattle, Washington, he is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, and Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and also received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. His work experience also includes corporate management with the ELCA Board of Pensions and counseling with Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota and the Neighborhood Involvement Project in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jeff’s primary focus at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church include keeping the vision and mission at the forefront, leading the Administrative Team, developing leadership, preaching a consistent message of God’s unconditional love through Jesus, and reaching out to people who haven’t experienced that message in their lives.
He enjoys reading, road bicycling, going to movies, daydreaming, walking, adventuring, and …especially spending time with his family. Barb (a native of southern California who loves the northern prairies) and Jeff were married in 1993 and have two delightful children, Joren and Britta.
