Matt Routledge - The Well Worship Team Coordinator Routledge@bis.midco.net 701-255-0406 Matt Routledge comes to us from the small town of Glenburn, ND. His musical background is rooted in the Lutheran church, with a mother who has played the organ for over 35 years and a grandma whose harmony could be heard against a congregation of melody! With the encouragement of his pastor, Matt started playing guitar in church at age 16. After graduating high school, Matt went on to college at Minot State University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Biology. While attending MSU, Matt was involved with many different campus ministry groups. Spending most of his time with Lutheran Campus Ministries as a peer minister, he lead worship using a variety of worship services that include The Holden Evening Prayer, The Chicago Folk Service, and many contemporary worship songs. During college, Matt also sang and played guitar in various Christian rock bands, concentrating on bring the word of God to the youth of North Dakota using both original music and popular worship music of the time. Throughout Matt’s experiences as a musician, he says that “there are no experiences in life that compare to the ones when you know you are right where the Lord wants you to be….using your God-given talents to serve Him.” In addition to playing, writing and recording music, Matt enjoys many other activities including hunting and fishing, camping, softball, golf and of course, being with his wife and baby girl Hannah. |
